It’s my turn! Over at DayDreamz MB WeBlogIt is a group of members who take their turns to post about specific topic themes. Today’s my day and the theme is pets. I love this theme because pets have always been a huge part of my life. Ever since I was like….4? there’s been cats in my household. The first cat we got was Charlie. He was awesome. He terrorized me as a kitten. I remember running down the hallway to my room and him jumping at my nightgown. It used to scare me. As we both got older Charlie and I had a brother sister bond. It was a love/hate relationship. Charlie lived until he was 18. That’s a day I hate to remember but will never forget. He was very clingy with my mom. He had so much character. We used to set out a small glass of milk and watch him dip his paw in it and lick it. Mom always called him the “Best old kitty” and he truly was.
Through the years many cats pranced through my life. There was Billie, CJ,and Bear. Then K.C. and Sabrina. The most wonderful cats ever. Hardest thing ever having to have both put down within the span of just a couple months. Then Chablis came into my life followed by Bailey. I had to let them go when I had to move here. I miss them constantly and hate that I can’t have them back. But moving forward I welcomed Abi into my life. She’s been a great part of the process for me getting my life back on track. Animals are the best medicine and more powerful than any therapy session. They never judge. They love you unconditionally. They take on so much yet only ask for one thing in return. Love. Well and maybe food and water haha. But they really just never set limits to their love. When I’m having a bad day they don’t criticize me for being down. They lift my spirits up and make me feel better.
